For the past few years, NMTPC has been limited in the
number of scholarships we could give to pregnant/parenting teens and youth
actively involved in preventing teen pregnancy in their communities and plan on
attending post secondary educational programs. As there are so many young men and women
that apply and so few dollars to spare, NMTPC will renew the Silent Auction at
the Annual Conference this year to raise more scholarship money, in order to
continue to impact generations to come.
We are asking for your assistance in securing donated
goods and services to offer in the auction, and your generosity in bidding on
our collection of treasures. We
have had some wonderful items in the past that raised a lot of money for the
scholarships. Some of the most
successful items include jewelry, art objects, New Mexican items, kitchen items,
vases, gift certificates for personal services such as spa treatments, massages,
beauty salon services including pedicures, manicures and haircuts or sets, stays
at hotels or timeshares, certificates for meals at
restaurants.
